Volkswagen celebrates the one millionth Scirocco with a special edition

The Volkswagen Scirocco first appeared in 1974, while the second generation was sold from 1981 to 1992. It was a successful car, with 795,650 vehicles sold, but the third generation only showed up in 2008, and has now reached the one millionth mark. This number is something that deserves to be celebrated, so VW created a special edition that will be sold exclusively in Germany and China.

This new version is painted in “Deep Black Metallic” with a contrasting double stripe along the car. It will have the "Interlagos" 18 inch wheels for the German market and the “Spa” 17 inch wheels in China. The "Lugano" 19 inch alloy wheels are optional.

The Scirocco Million features R-Line bumpers, R-Line side sills, smoked tail lights, “Million” stickers on the wings and smoked rear windows (90% in Germany and 65% in China).

Inside, Volkswagen fitted this Scirocco with leather seats and contrast stitching in “Snap Orange", black roof liner, entry plates with "Million” lettering and the RCD 310 audio system.

You can choose between three different petrol engines and two diesel engines. The petrol units have 122PS (90kW), 160PS (118kW) and 210PS (155kW), while oil burners have 140PS (103kW) and 177PS (130kW). All engines can be chosen with the dual clutch gearbox (DSG), with the exception of the weakest petrol engine.
